There are plenty of things to do around Mudgee, NSW. This region has one of Australia’s oldest wine regions with more than 40 cellar doors and 141 vineyards to experience the regions finest wines. Mudgee’s earliest historic building dates back to 1852 making it the second oldest municipality west of the Great Dividing Range. These days many historic villages now house trendy boutique and quaint shops and there’s plenty of things to do around Mudgee, like experiencing local events including art workshops, heritage walks and pub cruises. For outdoor enthusiasts, kayak, horse ride, explore the wetlands, walk the Ferntree Gully rainforest trail or go hot air ballooning

The Mudgee region is about a 3 hours 45 minute drive from Sydney. You will need a car when you get there. Fly Pelican Airlines to Mudgee and hire a car if you’re tight on time.
