Standard pub grub it isn’t!  The Chef masters magic in this humble inn. The menu includes dishes like “Italian homemade mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, home grown arugula (rocket) with Spanish sherry dressing drizzled from one side of the plate to the other, where a lovely ciabatta rests” . The usual gastro pub grub is here in lashings of size and quality. Leave room for homemade desserts and ice-creams because you will NOT resist. Dane Baird is one minute greeting guests in his Hi Viz shirt, next minute pulling beers for the eternally thirsty crowd, clearing away plates and keeping a keen eye over his happy crowd, stopping for a yarn. His Mum even has the family’s crown jewels in a glass, locked cabinet for all to admire but don’t ask if they’re for sale. As if!
