BE PAMPERED | PRIVATE BEACH | BRUNY ISLAND SOLITUDE
“Staying here, you really feel like the luckiest person in the world to be right on the water. We ate breakfast every morning on the deck and at night we watched the birds and wallabies. It was the perfect location for driving around the island and easy drive to the ferry.” Sasha, February 2024
DISCOVER THE WOW:
THE EXPERIENCE
A serene escape at Questa accommodation in Barnes Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania, where you’ll feel transported to a simpler time, enveloped in relaxation and contentment. Perched on Barnes Bay’s foreshore, Questa is a meticulously restored eco-stay blending 1800s to 1950s décor with modern comforts. The interior exudes an eclectic, retro-styled charm that is both quirky and supremely homely.
TIPS for your stay:
There’s only a small convenience store at the local petrol station. We suggest guests stock up at Margate on the way to Questa. Alternatively stock up at Kingston (outermost suburb from Hobart), order online, and click and collect on the way to the Ferry at Kettering.
Barnes Bay is accessible from D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Barnes Bay is a very sheltered body of water, perfect for mooring large boats all year round.
QUESTA is suitable for people with limited mobility. We ask you to note that there is level access onto the rear veranda and directly into the house which is level with the house. For wheelchair users there is 20 metres of grass to cross which may not suit guests to the entry. If you want more information, kindly send an enquiry. Plans to make a mooring available are underway for guests to arrive by boat. Meantime guests can arrive by boat and use the public jetty which is 400m from Questa.
