Welcome to Bombah Point Eco Cottages are a 4.5 star eco-retreat set amongst towering trees. Situated beside Myall Lakes National Park, between Hawks Nest/Tea Gardens & Seal Rocks, they’re located 1-hour north of Newcastle and 2.5 hours north of Sydney.

It’s an ideal place for larger gatherings, accommodating groups of up to 31 people. And perfect for romantic escapes, family holidays, gatherings, corporate retreats, mini-conferences and wellness workshops. International visitors will love the outback-style experience, off grid yet appreciate comfort. If you’re arriving by bus in Buladelah, your friendly hosts offer a convenient pick-up service. just ask.

Here you’ll revel in access to unpopulated beaches, tea tree lakes and majestic sand dunes within the adjacent national park. In your cottage, step through glass doors onto a veranda with stunning views of 100 acres of pristine bushland. Bombah Points Eco Cottages are either for 5 or 6 guests with 5 cottages for up to 5 guests and one cottage for 6 guests). They are architecturally designed for minimal environmental impact and maximum enjoyment, as well as privacy. All feature a Queen bedroom and an open-plan loft with a double and single bed configuration, making it ideal for families or groups. Or, relax and curl up in-front of the log fire in chilly weather.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages are built on sustainable principles that prioritise the preservation of nature with a real commitment to sustainability, with composting and rainwater. Unwind in your rainwater spa with a glass of bubbly. (Bombah by the way, is BYO and organic wines are available to purchase).

The property and surrounding national park and beaches, offers great bird watching, bushwalking, surfing, fishing, trekking, water sports and mountain biking – endless opportunities for fun! And don’t overlook that as night falls, to stargaze into the pristine night sky.

There are excellent day trips from the country town of Buladelah only minutes away. Then there’s whale watching (in season) from the lighthouse at Seal Rocks. Or surfing, or learning to, at Blueys Beach. Then again exploring the majestic sand dunes near Mungo Brush might be your thing. Discover several glorious beaches around Hawks Nest and body surf or  SUP on a clear calm day or feed the seagulls.

FOOD NIRVANA:

Enjoy fresh filtered rainwater, organically grown herbs and veggies, fresh fruit picked off the tree, and free-range eggs from Bombah’s own chooks. If you’ve forgotten anything, there’s an honesty box to help you out too. You can pick from the permaculture gardens to complete your gourmet meal of local produce. Then utilise the fully equipped kitchen or a BBQ option for a fabulously healthy meal.

After exploring the Myall Lakes with a morning paddle or bike ride, why not dive into local farms, bakeries, oyster farms. What’s more there’s an abundance of local providores for example, if you’ve travelled from the south, stop by in Karuah at Fat Uncle’s Oysters. Or grab some fresh, organic delights backed by experienced aquaculture farmers. And when dinner time rolls around, consider local oysters. Myall prawns, or lobster, sea mullet & flathead from the  ol’school Tea Gardens Fish Shop. Alternatively, you can pre-order organic meals from ‘Farm to Fridge’ that your Hosts can arrange for you.

Bombah Point Eco-Cottages honours the traditional custodians of the land, the Worimi People. In addition, Bombah supports various community service organisations, for example,  Starlight Children’s Foundation, Fighting Chance, Gunawirra, and others.
