About this listing

ECO-FRIENDLY | UNSPOILT & UNBROKEN | WILDLIFE & LAKES

At Bombah Point Eco Cottage you’ll wake to be surrounded by 100 acres of bushland viewed through expansive glass windows. Then stretching into your waffle bathrobes (provided) you’ll savour your pre-ordered breakfast hamper on your wrap-around verandah of Bombah Point Eco Cottage accommodation. Your eco-stay is not without all the things you needs but built and presented in an eco-minded manner.

Five other eco-cottages sleeps 5 guests per cottage, with a Queen bedroom, loft bedroom, log fire, rainwater spa bath, fully equipped kitchen, wrap-around verandah, BBQ, flat-screen TV & Hammock. See floor plan in the media gallery. For groups, Bombah can accommodate up to 31 people across 6 cottages.

Beyond lies thousands of hectares of unspoilt National Park. You might see sea eagles, pelicans and egrets to wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas and even the occasional koala. Treasured assets. And an opportunity to explore protected waterways, wetlands and more than 40 kilometres of spectacular unbroken beaches.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages are built on ecologically sustainable principles and are dedicated to maintaining the unique natural environment. You even find locally grown organic herbs in the garden which you can pick.

Bombah’s owners demonstrate how environmentally conscious practices can be implemented without compromising luxury. Their large permaculture garden provides, with the help of chooks and recycled kitchen waste, fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs for guests. They use renewable and recyclable products where possible, provide recycling bins and compost most food waste on site. They have set up tertiary treatment of sewage using a bioreactor system, which incorporates worm composting and reed bed filtration. Filtered rainwater tanks provide the cottages with water.

What’s for lunch? Dive into local farms, bakeries, oyster farms. An abundance of local providores won’t let you go hungry. Famished by dinner? Try local oysters, Myall prawns, lobster, sea mullet & flathead found at the local old school Tea Gardens Fish Shop.

Or pre-ordered organic food for breakfast, lunch and dinner from ‘Farm to Fridge’ that the Bombah Point Cottage crew can arrange! This is what Bombah is truly about.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages supports a range of community service organisations; Starlight Children’s Foundation, Fighting Chance – Social enterprises for people with disabilities, Gunawirra – Supporting aboriginal families, the Bulahdelah Show Society, local artist and other worthy causes.

Bombah would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Worimi People, on which you will stand, and pay respects to the Elders past, present and emerging. Dark Point in southern Myall Lakes is a culturally significant site. We ask you to honour and act with the utmost respect for the duration of your stay.
